Our latest installation was done just in time to help KFC Head Office employees stay cool this summer. After winning the tender for the building’s window covering installation as a result of our affordable products and services, as well as our speedy delivery times, we put our team of experts to task.
With experience in working with big brands like Investec, Discovery Health and ABSA Bank, we were well equipped to take on this large-scale project, which entailed installing heat reflecting blinds in every single one of the building’s office windows.
The 3150 square metre office, located in Johannesburg, currently hosts 230 KFC employees, and its design boasts environmentally-friendly features at every turn. Taking this into consideration, it was important to choose a Windovert product that would fit in with this design ethos.
Since our Screen Roller Blinds are made with innovative fabric technology, called Alu D. Technical, which works to reflect heat outside of the building and reduce the need for energy-demanding air conditioners, it was the obvious choice for this project. Despite being more expensive than traditional window coverings, this option of heat reflecting blinds was chosen for its benefit of long term savings on cooling costs.
Unsurprisingly, this stylish Windovert product has become increasingly popular in South Africa thanks to its ability to reduce glare and UV transmission, while maintaining the view outside.
In addition to this, the product’s endless colour customisation options have made it extremely versatile in terms of design applications.
This, of course, was another reason why the client chose our Screen Roller Blinds, as they were able to choose from a wide range of colours and find just the right grey to offset the building’s earthy but modern colour pallete.
Looking back on this special project, we are extremely happy with the outcome of the installation and feel that we couldn’t have found a better product to suit the client’s unique needs.
